NZDA Submission for Consultation on Clubs and Ranges

NZDA has submitted the Arms Amendment Bill today. You can read our full and detailed submission below.

This largely relates to the regulation of clubs and ranges, but as the title alludes, there’s some important and fundamental changes, importantly moving policy making to Justice from Police.

Many of our clubs and committees have submitted, along with our HUNTS team. However, the more voices the better.

So, there is still time to submit by midnight tonight (29 October) by visiting this link.

Due to the complexity of this law change, we were not able to distribute this to you earlier but rest assured guidance was sent to your branch to submit on your behalf. We thank all those volunteers who took the time to submit as every voice counts.

NZDA is also requesting to appear before the Select Committee at Parliament to speak to MPs about our views.

Read NZDA’s full submissions, made on behalf of our members, by clicking the buttons below. Please feel free to circulate and share this email within your network and encourage fellow hunters and firearm owners to engage with the political process.

There is still time if you would like to make a submission of your own based on the documents linked above.

You can read the Bill Here and the Arms Act can be found here.  If you are short on time you can take the key points from the submission and state that you largely support the submission made by NZDA.
