Advocacy Update: NZDA Makes Verbal Submission on Arms Amendment Bill
NZDA recently made a verbal submission to the select committee on the Arms (Shooting Clubs, Shooting Ranges, and Other Matters) Amendment Bill. This was in support of the written submission NZDA made on behalf of members. Unfortunately the first 5 minutes of Gwyn’s presentation where he presented the injury statistics was not recorded due to a technical error on the Government side, however you can read the submission here.
NZDA thanks all members who made submissions both written and verbal, it all helps to secure the rights of licenced firearm owners and hope that others will consider it as we look towards a new Arms Act in 2026. In total there were 604 submissions which you can find below.
