We are excited to announce that the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association is now accepting nominations for the Newton McConochie Award for the Most Outstanding Young Deerstalker of the Year.
This prestigious award recognizes the achievements and contributions of our young members who have shown exceptional hunting and shooting abilities, as well as demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and dedication to the branch and hunting community.
To be eligible for the award, the nominee must have been a member of NZDA for at least two years, participated in hunting trips and shooting events, obtained at least one "trophy" of a game species, shown above-average hunting or shooting abilities, demonstrated the ability to work well with others, and shown above-average initiative at branch meetings and/or hunting trips.
This is a great opportunity for young members to showcase their skills and dedication to the hunting community, and to be recognized for their contributions to the branch and the sport of hunting.
We encourage all branches to consider their eligible members for this award and submit their nominations by the deadline of 5pm on Friday, 7th July 2023.
Let's celebrate our outstanding young deerstalkers and their achievements. We look forward to receiving your nominations and honoring the winner at our annual awards ceremony.
