The New Zealand Deerstalkers Association is looking for a capable and reliable individual to join our National Office team as a National Membership Support Officer, based in Wellington.
This is a full-time, in-office role that sits at the heart of our organisation. As NZDA continues to grow, this position plays a critical role in supporting and strengthening our national membership function.
Working closely with the wider National Office team, you’ll help ensure our membership systems, processes, and communications run smoothly, supporting both our members and our nationwide network of branches.
About the role
This is a hands-on operational role combining administration, systems management, customer service, and branch support. It requires strong attention to detail, a practical mindset, and someone who takes ownership and gets things done.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate membership records, supporting renewals and communications, assisting branches, and contributing to ongoing improvements in systems and processes.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Processing membership applications, renewals, and records
- Maintaining CRM (Bitrix) and finance systems (Xero)
- Supporting members and branches with enquiries and administration
- Assisting with communications, including renewal campaigns
- Contributing to system improvements and operational efficiency
- Supporting NZDA’s wider initiatives and day-to-day operations

- Timely processing and communication
- Strong support for branches and members
- Improved systems and reduced errors
- A consistent, high-quality membership experience
About you
You’ll bring experience in administration or office support, along with strong organisational and communication skills. You’re reliable, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You take pride in your work, communicate clearly, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
