The Sika is the first in a series of books that will form the NZDA record series.
This book follows the origins of the 14 sub-species of the deer we know as the sika, through its native distribution in Asia.
Section two discusses the history and origins of the New Zealand herd, including a chapter on hunting tips.
All antlers scoring over 200 on the Douglas Score are allocated a full page, incorporating in each case a photograph of the trophy, its complete relative score-sheet and an account of the stalk and securing of the trophy. At the rear of this section the statistics of the trophies within the parameters of the association's recordings are listed.
