This is a guideline and is not set in stone. The National Executive provides here some guidance on matters it will regard as nationally significant and those it regards as being of local importance. We encourage branches to read this guideline with the schedule attached, in order to know what they can expect us to work on and what we expect branches to do for themselves.
The form adopted here is similar to that used in making policy for local government district plans, policy statements, and long-term community plans. The policy for tenure review provides: A statement of the issue addressed by the policy; A statement of objectives the policy is meant to fulfill; A statement of the directions which make up the policy; A statement of any methods which will be employed to fulfill the directions of the policy.
